Drinking and Getting Drunk

There's a huge difference between drinking and getting drunk! Drinking makes us feel wonderful. You enjoy the smoothness of the alcohol, warm yourself up on the inside and get a little tipsy letting go of your inhibitions. That is drinking.

Getting drunk! is whole other thing. There you don't enjoy the drink you just drink for the fun of it. No savoring of the taste or dignified enjoyment of exquisite liquor. No... getting drunk is just chugging beer upon beer or mixing up shots of every variety to such an extent that you don't even remember the distinctions!! Getting smashed and not remembering anything you did.

People say it's fun, i find it awful. I really can't seem to see the fun in running away from reality. The realm of a drunk fantasy {that you don't remember and which makes you feel miserable and sick the next day} is just messed up. The "Tipsy Realm" however is truly fun. You are in your senses and with zero inhibitions. Now that's a reality to live, enjoy and remember! All the insanity and the reckless fun will always remain in your memories. Not to forget that the next morning instead of saying,
"I feel like shit. I think i had a blast...."
 {Followed by possible retching, massive migraines and temperamental behavior}
you'll say...
"I'm thirsty... What an AWESOME time we had list night. Man that was Legendary!"
{Followed by reminiscences of the fun YOU KNOW you had}

So next time you decide to party, make sure you think about it. You wanna go drinking or do you wanna get drunk?
